Book

Finally finished all the finishing touches and sent my book off to the publishers last week. AH! We will find out in a few months...
good or bad, at least I wrote it!

My Book

All my life I have wanted to write a book, and the past several years I have come closer to that goal by taking classes and such. Well, as of tonight, I have finally written one. It is a children's chapter book, for ages 9-12 roughly. It is about a young girl finding out her sister is getting married and how she deals with that change and it pulls at and strengthens her faith in the Lord.

Hopefully it actually reads as good as it feels to be done. Well, not completely done. This is my third draft and I finally feel good about it. Now I just need Tyson to read it, and maybe some other people if they are willing, and review it. Then, send queries off to see if I can get it published. Yahoo!

I already have lots of other ideas for other books too, so we will see how this love of story telling takes me...

Book Idea...

So to all my high school buddies. I have kind of been tossing around the idea of writing about my experiences in high school. I don't really want to ever try to publish it (ya know, if I actually ever make it to that satge in my writing career), but I just wanted to write it for fun and give you all copies if you want. So if you have any stories that you remember and you want to write them down and email or send them to me, that would be really cool. I only have my memories and journals, and although first person is cool, a more into everyone's minds story would be way better. Just anything about the times you love most or didn't love, anything, and it really doesn't have to have me in the memory at all. It would be neat to see what you all thought and felt. If not, that is fine, and it doesn't have to be right away. I was just thinking it would be a cool idea...

To Write

So yesterday I went to go get the mail and I was so excited. A few weeks ago I took this test from a place called the Institute of Children's Literature. So yesterday in the mail I got this huge packet with an acceptance letter from the school. So I have to pay money, but they will teach me how to write and how to get published. I don't think it is a hoax, I sure hope not, so if you know anything about it let me know. I am so excited though, all my life I have wanted to be a writer but I never get very far in anything I start writing. I seriously was so happy I cannot even tell you. This is like a dream come true if it all works out. The coolest thing is that Tyson is so supportive about it. He is so excited for me and wants me to write almost more than I do.
