Do you ever think, "wow, those two kids are mine? I gave birth to two of them!? I'm not a little kid myself anymore? When did that happen? I'm married!? I pay taxes and bills? I drive a van? What? Wow, I'm an adult?"
I'm thinking that right now.
I think that ALL THE TIME! I think in my mind I'm a sophomore in college still.

ReplyDeleteMy sister once told me that she was in the car driving, she was listening to music and dancing and singing along when suddenly she looked in the backseat to see her baby and toddler looking at her, it almost startled her... as if she forgot she had babies for a second. Kind of funny how that happens sometimes. :)
I feel that way and I don't have kids. Mostly it freaks me out a little bit when I realize that my closest friends here in Richmond have 3...4...5 kids already. WEIRD!

ReplyDeleteIt hits me the most right after I put Zuri to sleep at night, clean up a bit and sit down with Chris. Then I'm like "When did my life take on such a routine? Bedtimes? What the freak were those before?" Love it.
